There’s no doubt when planning a trip away, the ‘what to pack’ list causes us all some angst.

What’s the weather going to be like over there? How many pairs of shoes should I take (in my case that equates to how many Frankie4 shoes should I take)?

What we really want to know is What’s the least I can pack but still get the most out of my trip?’

I can’t solve your clothing issues, I’ll leave the lovely Nikki at @stylingyou to do that, but I can help you to Pack a Photographer.

For someone like me who is always behind the lens, I just never get any decent photos of myself. So I was thrilled to hear about ‘Shoot my Travel’, a company who will document your travel for you and make sure you are in the frame 🙂

Booking is easy. In our case my daughter and I were going to Los Angeles, Disneyland and Honolulu but chose Los Angeles for our photo shoot.

I chose a date and a package and booked online. In most cases you get a choice of photographer and I chose Jenny to take our photos. There are a number of packages to choose from, I chose the 2-hour Shoot My Travel photo tour, which would give us a tour of a selected location, and 15 edited photos. Easy. And the package prices are very reasonable.

Jenny got in touch with me to confirm the date and to discuss a possible location and she suggested we meet at the Butchers Daughter in Abbot Kinney Blvd. Abbot Kinney Blvd is a mile long strip of quality restaurants, shopping and fantastic street art. Perfect for photos.

Now I’ll be honest it was difficult for me to be on the other side of the camera for a change. I’m no Kardashian that’s for sure. Taking selfies is not my forte and usually results in me dropping my phone. However Jenny put us both at ease and away we went, in the end we sort of forgot she was there to take photos as the three of us just nattered away as we ventured down Abbot Kinney Blvd and through to Venice Beach.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it remains one of the highlights of our trip. I can’t wait to do it again. Best of all we had the link to our photos within 4 hours. Now that’s service!

As Molly would say, do yourself a favour and check them out. You won’t regret it.
